Came for the first time to try the The Legendary Burger because I've heard all the buzz. Made reservations, at first when we got there they seemed empty, but it filled up fast! Nice atmosphere, fun lighting, cool artwork and a disco ball make it a fun place to hang. Started with the lychee keen cocktail, put in the ordered right before happy hour ended at 7pm. After that we tried the seasonal honeydew soju carafe, Very nice and refreshing for summer. So onto the important stuff, the honey tots were excellent and the burger was perfect! Everything about this burger was right, the bun, cheesy, not greasy, and a little kick of spice, what could be better than that? Can't wait to go again, next time I want to try one of the tasting menus!

the restaurant had a warm, homey ambiance and our server was really chill. we got the ep, a 5 course meal for $39/pp!!!! kale salad was light and refreshing, a great way to start off the meal. my fav was the honey garlic butter tots.... so crispy and looooved the sauce. everything else was also good but didn't super stand out. the burger was unique bc it had kimchi in it but i've def had better burgers elsewhere. for drinks, we got the lychee keen, crazy rich azn, and the eazy-e - i did like all of them but my friend was not a fan of the crazy rich azn HAHA they also gave me choco pie with sparklers for my bday!!!!

A friend and I came in on a Thursday with a reservation. The restaurant was filling up quickly, so I would recommend a res. The space is nice inside, and they offer some limited outdoor seating in the front. Our service was friendly and quick! We split The E.P., a shared five course menu. The menu included their Lil Baby Kale Salad, Nowon Spicy Gochujang Fried Chicken, Chopped Cheese Rice Cakes, Honey Garlic Butter Tots, and a (shared) Legendary Burger. This gave us a nice variety to try and we were completely stuffed and unable to finish. Everything had a nice presentation and was cooked well. The salad had candied walnuts and their sweet pop was great. The fried chicken was juicy and tender, but it wasn't spicy. The chopped cheese rice cakes were pillowy and such a unique take! The honey butter tots were killer, but definitely heavy! By the time we got to the burger, we could only have a bite or two, but it was juicy and well cooked and had great flavor. We also had their lychee keen and open sesame cocktails, both were delicious and well balanced. Definitely stop by!

Korean fusion goes next level. You can order individually or get their mix tapes. E.P was the one of the mix tapes we had which included salad, fried chicken, rice cakes, butter tots and cheese burgers. All dishes come in perfectly portion and we were stuffed after that. We ordered whipped ricotta toast as an addition which was the highlight of our night. You will have both sweet and savory flavors which are not overwhelming and perfectly balanced. Must try when you get there. Chill and relaxed vibes which is good for dates, friend gatherings and simply enjoy yourself.

I ordered delivery from here. The honey butter tater tots were delicious. The tots were tossed with sesame seeds and black sesame. The honey butter was a unique mix of savory, sweet, and spicy. I also got a side of the kimchi special sauce and loved the bold, smoky flavor. The k-town smokeshow pizza tasted better than expected. I thought the mushrooms would be seasoned with a BBQ sauce, but they actually just had a smoky, grilled taste. The onions added nice flavor and it had the perfect amount of cheese. The slices were fairly thin, with a crunchy charred crust. The portion size of the vegan shroom noods was a bit small. Great for an indulgent meal!

Nowon nowon ooo so yum! something about warm weather in NYC always got me wanting to go out to eat and drank. After rolling through the rolodex of restaurants to try, Nowon felt like a good choice. Made a reservation but the for the time of arrival we really didn't need one. They have a tasting menu which was unexpected but i really liked. Went with the classic. Loved everything but the dessert but the cream in the dessert was good but all together a no. Do the tasting menu if you want to try a flavor and spectrum of what this gastropub has to offer

We opted for the 7-course tasting menu at Nowon and were overall thrilled by almost every single dish. Our favorites were the whipped ricotta toast, broccollini (if a vegetable makes it into the highlights, I'm impressed), the chopped cheese rice cakes, and the burger. A few dishes were still great, but not quite exceptional. I would've loved more sauce/toppings on the tater tots, the fried chicken could've been crispier, and the chef's choice dessert was basically a deconstructed cherry pie that all 4 of us had to split. Even if a few dishes weren't mind-blowing, a 7-course tasting menu for $50 is a stellar deal. If you want to try Nowon's highlight reel, this is a great way to do it.

During our first visit, Audrey was so sweet and conversational and took great care of us. In fact, the whole staff at this Nowon location was fantastic. Emptied plates vanished within moments, our water pitcher never ran empty, and every single person we interacted with had spunk and pizazz. Maybe it's a Brooklyn thing? Whoever's doing the hiring here knows what's up. We've since been back with friends, and our experience was all-around just as delightful as before: luscious libations, decadent food, and super service. It had only been a few months in between visits, but I think the cocktail menu had already been revised -- my memory could very well be faulty, but I didn't recall any of the drink options that we'd had before. Highlights of our meals included the honey garlic tots and their wood-fired pizzas. We've sampled the Bushwick Buldak and the Banban Burrata and both slapped (is that how you use this word?). I think I mildly preferred the buldak, with its fiery chicken, but I would absolutely be happy to chow down on any of their Korean-inspired pies. The other surprise winner was the broccolini a la caesar. I'm a sucker for caesar anything, but broccolini's a new caesar delivery device to me! After tucking in a bite, I decided I could happily make a meal out of this one dish alone. Oh, and the only kind of crème brûlée I ever want to eat again must be black sesame. That's how we closed out our meal and this is the new standard by which I will judge all other caramelized custards. I bestowed my highest Asian praise upon this dessert: not too sweet. My one nit is that the music was cranked up a bit too loud for my preference. We were seated at the back table directly under a speaker, and it made conversation challenging without having to yell at one another. It's a pretty lively, club vibe, and I might just be old and cranky, but it detracted from the otherwise flawless experience. I don't recall the volume being an issue when we were seated near the bar area, so it's possible we ran into some bad luck with our most recent seating assignment. Overall, it's not a severe complaint, and Nowon remains high on our shortlist of pre-Company XIV dining destinations.
